La Serena Golf Course

La Serena has a traditional structure, accuracy off the tee is a must for the player, who must thread their way to the green through bunkers, desert areas and of course the water hazards.

Designed by Manuel Piñero, regarded as one of the top designers, integrating the golf course to the residential areas. It encircles the 500 year old “Torre del Rame” which was originally built to keep watch for pirates who took refuge in the tranquil waters of the Mar Menor.
La Serena Golf lies in the municipality of Los Alcazares, occupying an expanse of land right next to the Mar Menor.

La Serena golf course is a par 72. The course, which is not overly long is made challenging by its tight fairways and its many water hazards that come into play on a total of 16 out of the 18 holes. This golf course is over 6.100 meters long and constructed in accordance with the European and United States golf association´s regulations. Mainly flat, the courses main difficulties are the wind as it is located very close to the coast.

La Serena Golf has a large Club House providing all facilities and services. The golf services are located on the ground floor which include dressing rooms, pro-shop, caddy master and storage facilities for members and clients in general.

Serena golf course is a great addition to the golf courses in this area and is well worth a visit. It is part of the group of courses golfers can play when staying at Mar Menor Golf Resort and is a perfect choice for golf groups looking for a nice golfing challenge
