At 30 minutes from Lisbon and less than 3 hours flight from the main European capitals, the Montado Hotel & Golf Resort is located in the “Costa Azul” region, in Algeruz (Palmela), near the Castle of Palmela and it is surrounded by vineyards used to produce the famous wines of the region. Evolving from an Oak tree hill (Montado), where water streams and ponds make the magic and beauty of the resort, the golf course is carefully inserted in a rural landscape that is ideal to get out of the daily routine. The Montado’s Golf is also known for its’ 18th hole, in which the green is located on an island.

This resort is unique in the Palmela region, with an 18 holes Golf Course, an Hotel and Spa, making it perfect for anyone, especially golf players, as there are 8 other Golf Courses at less than 30 minutes travel. A unique place for the ones looking to relax, or enjoy some family time, whether by taking a walk on the beaches of Troia, visiting the Castle of Palmela, the José Maria da Fonseca cellar or the Estuário do Sado Natural Park. THE HOTEL

To emphasize the high quality and charm of the Hotel (designed by the world renowned architect “Tomás Taveira”) to serve golfers, leisure / beach and businessmen. The 93 luxurious rooms offer a unique view of the Golf Course.

The Montado Hotel & Golf Resort has at your disposal 90 rooms, one of them being for people with physical disabilities.

The resort offers 42 superior rooms with 25m2 and 48 standard rooms with 18m2, all of them enjoying the great view over the Golf Course, directly above the lake, with balcony, private WC, air blower, AC, LCD TV, mini-bar, comfort pack (coffee and tee) and Wireless Internet.

SUITES

The Montado Hotel & Golf Resort as 3 available suites. Each one offers a 45m2 area divided by living room, bedroom, closet, 2 private WC’s (one with bathtub, the other with a hydro massage cabin). All Suites are equipped with AC, LCD TV, Wireless Internet, mini-bar and comfort pack (coffee and tee).

GOLF COURSE

After a large renovation, the “Golf Course of Montado” reopened in September 2006 and presents itself as one of the most beautiful and competitive courses of Portugal, in line with the excellent of the courses “Quinta da Ria” and “Quinta de Cima” (from the same group of promoters). The golf course with 18 holes and par 72 (6.366m), is distinguished by a landscape dominated by vineyards and flat morphology region, developing in a fitted oak where streams and lakes make it unique. The layout of the course offers large greens and holes with particular characteristics, which highlights the 18th hole where the green is situated on an island. The Clubhouse (2000m2 covered) is also being refurbished and will feature a SPA, a Gym, Sauna, Turkish bath and a Swimming pool.
