Valle del Este is located in a very important tourist destination on the east coast of Almeria (near to the villages of Vera, Garrucha and Mojacar) with more than three thousand hours of sun per year , which is more than any other territory within continental Europe.

The climate is pre-desert, with little rain and few windy days, with warm temperatures all year round, due to low humidity and a light breeze during summer which moderates the heat.

Valle Del Este Hotel Golf Spa is located in an exceptional complex within the Vera Municipal Area, covering an area of more than 1,000,000m2, and it is situated on a gentle slope facing the Mediterranean Sea, which is only five kilometres away.

The Hotel Valle del Este was built in 2004 and renovated at the beginning of 2014. It is a four star hotel, offering 130 large double rooms and 12 suites. Due to its rectangular floor plan, half of the rooms face East (holes 10-18) and the other half face West (holes 1-9). Therefore our guests have two options: enjoy the bright sunrises or sunsets of this part of Andalusia, but always with a view of the golf course. Likewise, the Mediterranean can be seen from the eastern terraces which face onto the last five holes. In order to identify the orientation of the rooms when booking through our web site, please note that the Eastern orientation is also identified as “swimming-pool” view. Around the hotel there are free open air and underground car parks at our guests’ disposal.

The furnishing and decoration of our rooms is both modern and cosy, and all rooms have a furnished terrace where our guests can feel the warmth of the Almeria sun and enjoy the mild climate all year round. It is always evident, in this sense, that the complex is located in a large pre-desert natural area.

Golf

The Golf Course Valle del Este was designed by José Canales in 2003 conserving the natural pre-desert environment where it is located so that the building has practically preserved the contour of the original property, and the natural flora in the area is not directly affected by the golf course holes.

It is difficult to forget the characteristics of the golf course once you have played here once, with the contrast between the green lawns and fairways of the golf course and the golden yellow pre-desert surroundings. This is a view exclusive to a place like Almeria, the province which offers the most hours of sunlight per year in the whole of continental Europe, and where it is possible to enjoy this sport in winter wearing a t-shirt.

Each of the 18 holes of the golf course presents a different design, making each round a challenge for the players. As a consequence of this variety and design, our players will long remember the essence of Valle del Este.

The driving range is 300m deep, with mats and golf ball dispensers to practice in both parts of the driving range. There is also a putting green and a large approach course.

Another detail that shows our desire to make your stay at Valle del Este more comfortable is the location of the Hotel, right at the heart of the golf course. In fact, not only the tees of holes 1 and 10 and the greens of holes 9 and 18 are close to the Hotel, but you can also access the driving range just a few metres from your room.
