The south course runs alongside the clubhouse and is divided into two courses with very different characteristics, both in terms of technique and the landscape. The pine forest alternates with olive trees and wetlands, requiring golfers to use strategy and precision in their strokes. The course, which can be played easily on foot, offers spacious greens known to be among the fastest in Andalusia. The combination of tropical grass and winter grass gives the fairways a comfortable, pleasant feel.
The north course, according to the Peugeot Guide to Europe’s Top 1000 Golf Courses, is a monument to modern golf, intelligent and entertaining. Modern because it combines power with precision; intelligent because it makes you think about your strokes; and entertaining because its medium-sized greens will entertain both the most skilled player and those with the highest handicaps. The course blends into the beauty of its natural surroundings and requires no stroke that could be deemed unreasonable.
El Rompido has two complete practice areas, one on each course, designed for both group instruction and for personal coaching.
